Knit yourself up a thick wooly cowl to warm your neck in the winter! They knit up in just a few short hours--a perfect last minute gift and an easy instant gratification project!

November 2012 Update I have updated the pattern to include instructions for Bulky Yarn and for Super Bulky Yarn! I have also created charts for each!

I have been knitting these cowls for quite some time and have finally decided to update the pattern. I first knit an owl cowl with Lana Grossa Caldo yarn, but it is now discontinued. I love that cowl and it is the one I have used for most of my photos, but it is time to make an update to the pattern because I have been using different yarns! The yarn pictured above is Knit Picks Biggo, which is an excellent yarn. First, because of the softness, fluffiness, and color choices, but also because it is washable. I will have instructions for Bulky yarn (like Biggo) and instructions also for Super Bulky yarn (like Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick). The best part is, it only takes 1 skein! I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I have!
