These cute owl mittens were created as part of my ‘Winter Playground Duty’ collection for a very deserving teacher. They make use of the very popular owl cable motif and are knitted in chunky yarn, so they work up in a matter of a few hours. They may appear quite small, but they have plenty of give so will fit most woman’s hands.

This pattern uses approximately 40g (less than 50m) of Moda Vera Cardellino. Any chunky weight yarn can be used.

Any method of knitting in the round (dpn’s, 2 circular needles, or one circular needle with magic loop) can be used.

Yarn substitution
Moda Vera Cardellino gives 9wpi on a yarn gauge. Any yarn that gives the same wpi should be suitable.
