Give the gift of OMG cuteness overload with this adorable baby owl onesie! With sweet little details like the ruffled tail feathers, a knit and purl textured belly, raglan shaping, and an owl face hood, this owl-fit is sure to keep baby warm and Mom smiling! If that wasn’t enough, this onesie comes with a precious matching stuffed Owl toy for baby to cuddle with too! This set is a lot of fun to knit with its one-piece construction (hence the name “Owl in One”!), and unique design details. The onesie is finished off with your special choice of buttons, with the option to use snap tape in its place. Videos are also included in this pattern to walk you through various steps to make sure knitting this owl-fit is as smooth as feathers.

This pattern includes instructions for both the Onesie and the Stuffed Owl :)

The onesie is knit using a 24” circular needle, while the eyes, ears, and toy are knit using dpns.

This piece was designed for The Fiber Factor Knitting Design Contest - Challenge 3 “Blank Slate”! Check out my inspiration behind this design and challenge here, the final judging on our pieces here, and the knitalong videos created for this design here.

HiKoo Simplicity is a great alternative yarn choice to use for this design with its ease of washability. Check out the second onesie I made using Simplicity (which also shows some alternative choices like contrast tail feathers and snap tape) here.

Enjoy!
