PDF knitting pattern for fingerless gloves/mitts with an Oystercatcher on the front of each glove. The palm sides of the gloves are plain. The cuffs are in a scalloped lacy pattern.

The mitts in the photographs were knitted in denim blue Drops Alpaca 4ply. The Oystercatchers are in black and white Rowan pure wool 4ply and have red beaks and legs. The mitts could be knitted in any 4ply weight yarn.

The motifs are knitted using the intarsia method, but the mitts could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the pattern added afterwards using duplicate stitch.

The approximate measurements for the mitts are: 8.5cm/3.25” wide (unstretched and not counting the thumb), 13.5cm/5.25” long from top of lacy cuff to cast-off edge and 4cm/1.5”deep cuff.

Charts for both left and right mitt are included, together with typed knitting instructions. The pattern comprises of a PDF in landscape mode with full typed knitting instructions for the lacy cuffs and glove shaping. There is also a symbol chart for the cuffs, plus charts for both left and right mitt.
