Dorothy was the girl swept up into a tornado and dropped by its force into the Wonderful land of Oz. There upon her way she receives a kiss on the forehead by the witch in the Munchkin kingdom -- and also the magic slippers of the wicked witch that was killed by her falling farmhouse. In the book the slippers were silver with pointed toes. I made my version shiny and silver, but you could make yours any color you want… green, gold, blue, even red!

This pattern will make a Dorothy that is 18 inches tall and 10 inches wide. She comes with instructions for her slippers/socks, underwear, underdress, and jumper. Toto and his picnic basket will be along shortly in a separate pattern. :)

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was written by L. Frank Baum and published in 1900. However, the book lapsed into public domain in 1956, so the characters are available for free use in other works – such as my dolls!

Patterns ordered from me will be delivered by email in .pdf format, either as an attachment or a downloadable link, so please make sure you have a working email address included in your payment information.
