Meet Ozzy the Owl!

Little Ozzy with his sparkly eyes makes an awesome toy for children because of his funny ball shape. Adults will love him too of course!

My Ozzy measures about 5 to 6 inches. I used a fingering weight yarn and a 2.5 mm hook (C hook). However, this pattern will work with any weight yarn and hook. The yarn weight and hook size of your choice will determine the size of your finished project.

Safety eyes: 18 mm in glittery purple or any color of your choice. I ordered mine from Glasseyesonline.com for only $ 0,90 per pair. They ship fast and have excellent service. I will be designing a whole series of animals with these big sparkly eyes. I bought some in blue and gold too.

This is an intermediate pattern. The stitches used are slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet and front postal crochet.

The pattern is written out in 5 pages, using US terminology. I have also included a separate file with clear progress pictures for your reference, like the ones you see on this page.
