A scarf with diamond patterns and bobbles becomes even warmer with a hood. The cables on both sides gives a traditional taste. Cables which stands for fishermen’s’ cables are considered to be one of the basic patterns in Aran knitting.

This hooded scarf cowl is made by working the scarf back and forth, and then picking up sts to work the hood.
