Design:
The dress has an easy-to-knit pattern which gives an attractive wavy edge. The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately up to the yoke and then slipped onto the same needle to complete. Stitches are picked up for the back button bands.

Sizes:
To fit 3 sizes of doll: 14-16 (17-19, 20-22) inches or 31-41 (43-48, 50-56) cms. Also to fit premature (newborn, 0-3 month) baby.

Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the outfit knitted using Rico Baby Classic DK in shade 031 (light grey) and shade 001 (white). You will need 2 x 50 gram balls of the Main Shade and 1 x 50 gram ball of Contrast Shade.

Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided.

Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles

Other requirements:
3 (3, 4) buttons
Stitch holders
