I grew up about a mile from the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco. The days were mostly foggy and grey … with hints of the gorgeous blues and teals the water could become a blissfully sunny day.

This shawlette was a trip down memory lane for me - the grey days … the waves lapping on the beach … the childhood spent being so close to the wild Pacific Ocean!

This design is knit from the top-down, starting with a garter tab and growing first, from a half-pi and then shifting to a classic triangle-shape that then shifts back again to the half-circle thanks to doubling stitches and working feather ‘n’ fan.

Yarn requirements:

CC1 - about 200 yards (sample used Knit Picks Stroll Solid in “Cobblestone Heather”)
CC2 - about 460 yards (sample used Knit Picks Stroll Tonal in “Pacific”)

The directions are charted and written out!
