GAUGE:
When working with a size H hook, 4 scs and 4 rnds = 1 inch. To save time, take time to check gauge.

MATERIALS:

• 4 ounces of 4-ply worsted-weight yarn (Marilyn used Red Heart Super Saver yarn) in the color of your choice
• crochet hooks—sizes G/6 (4.25mm) and H/8 (5mm) or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge
• size 16 tapestry needle
• scissors
• one pair of appropriate-size foam cushion or air foam insoles (sold in drugstores and discount variety stores)
• four short pieces of contrasting yarn for stitch markers (see note)
• straight pins

Note: For easy identification, use one color to mark the beg and end of ball of foot and two other colors to mark the heel and toe.
