Please note, this pattern contains instructions for both bag and matching phone case.

This shoulder bag by Helen Ardley is a great size for everyday shopping, and is big enough to hold A4-sized books and papers. Helen has created a matching phone case, too, which could also be used as a case for your sunglasses. Both feature a cheerful slip stitch brick pattern. The sides of the bag are worked in garter stitch stripes, while the handles are formed from lengths of stocking stitch. The finished bag is lined with fabric. The ribbed cuff of the phone case is threaded through with a cord and toggle, so that it can be cinched shut.
