Dark and dusty, painted on the sky, misty taste of moonshine… Something about this design just calls to mind peaceful time spent traveling country roads—perhaps the simplicity, the airy fabric of the sheer yoke like a summer breeze, and the colors drawn from nature that shine in these beautiful yarns from Fiber for the People.
Painted on the Sky is my idea of the perfect casual, warm weather knit, with clean lines, simple shaping, drapey fabric and lots of movement. It’s worked almost entirely in stockinette stitch from the bottom up, its standout detail a box pleat that can be worn in the front or back. A fluffy laceweight mohair/silk creates a nearly see-through yoke that adds airiness and a touch of luxury.
