Pattern No. 1 in the Five--More--Easy Pieces Club.

This oval-shaped scarf, big enough to serve as a shawl, is worked sideways in a self-striping yarn. The changing colours of the yarn create visual interest and make this a fun pattern to knit.

Along all edges of the scarf, short rows create a gentle ruffle.

Wear this piece as a shawl or pin the two end to form sleeves and wear as a shrug.
