Knit from side-to-side using short rows to curve the crown. This allows a wonderful star to form using short rows in the cables. Work begins with a provisional cast-on and the start and end are grafted together when you finish for a seamless hat.

baa ram ewe ‘Dovestone’ (50% BFL, 25% Wensleydale Longwool, 25% Dark Brown Masham, 252 yds / 230 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g); colour: Goathland; 1 (1) skein.

US size 6 / 4 mm straight needles
