Palmilla is a stylish and versatile shawl that features a beautiful combination of stockinette stitch and texture. A faux ruffle border adds an elegant finishing touch. Instructions are provided to easily modify the size of your shawl or change the combination and balance of the stitch patterns used.

Finished Measurements: Approximately 14 inches / 36 cm x
82 inches / 208 cm.

Yarn: 600 yards of fingering weight yarn. Shown using Malabrigo Finito 200 yd/182 m per 50 g skein; color Natural, 3 skeins.

Gauge: 21 sts/32 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette. Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage.

Needles: US#7/4.5 mm 32” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle.

When knitting the worsted size, follow instructions as written. I used a US#10/6.0 mm needle and 3.8 skeins = 798.0 yards (729.7 meters) of Malabrigo Rios, color Plomo. Finished size 19” x 100” (48 cm x 254 cm)
