This beautiful, fast and fun to make beanie fits most teens to adults and reminds me of columns and temples that were built in Palmyra, an ancient city of Syria which was strongly influenced by Greco-Roman culture in art and architecture.

The Palmyra Beanie is made with the 36 peg 3/4” gauge round loom (cindwood, knifty knitter green, boye, darice, loops & thread) and roughly 65-75 yards of bulky # 5 yarn (sample done using less than one skein of loops & thread charisma yarn in color dark purple).

Written pattern includes explanations for abbreviations used as well as detailed written step by step instructions for rows utilizing stitch repeats worked across 4 pegs. Pattern can be adapted to other looms with peg multiples of 4 and appropriate yarn for the gauge of the loom.

Techniques used include knit using ewrap, purl, yarn over empty pegs, and knitting 3 together and is an intermediate level pattern however the detailed written instructions make this a great pattern for beginners ready to learn new stitches!
