Yarn: 8ply/DK - 100grms or less for all sizes
Equipment: 3.50mm and 4.50mm, 40cm circular needles, DPN’s or Magic loop (or size required for
gauge), 1 x stitch markers, darning needle for weaving in ends, and a balloon for blocking the finished
hat.
Gauge: 20st/10cm in stocking stitch in 4.50mm needles.

In Maori tradition Papatuanuku is known as the Earth Mother, she represents the generative foundation of all life, a mother earth figure who gives birth to and nurtures. This hat was designed to reflect the spiral of life, the beautiful spirals found in nature.
