Papelillo
Chevron-inspired lace patterns grow in size and density from the center-outwards in this pi shawl. Work Papelillo in a bright hand-dyed yarn as shown to add a splash of color to your wardrobe, or choose a muted, tonal neutral that goes with everything.
Designed for the Yarnbox June Classic 2016 box.
Notes
As written, this shawl uses almost all of the yarn. If your gauge is significantly different you may fall short or have to unravel your gauge swatch.
Due to the varied nature of hand dyed yarns, my two skeins were noticeably different. Since I wanted to avoid alternating skeins throughout the whole shawl, I purposely worked with the lighter skein first. When it ran low, I alternated rounds with the darker skein to create a blended transition. The overall effect is of a center-
outwards ombre. Feel free to replicate this yourself if your skeins are different, or alternate every round for a more cohesive color.
