A lace shawl in ‘Crescent Triangle’ shape with knitted on edge. Worked top down from the middle of the neck.

The shawl is airy and light and features prominently the ‘diamond’ stitch pattern, hence the name - Paragon - an unflawed diamond, a model of excellence.

The pattern is fully charted, but it has charts only, there is NO line by line description of lace pattern included.

Gauge is not important however I would recommend swatching for the desired effect of ‘airiness’ of lace in laceweight yarn ( I recommend solids).

Suitable for intermediate knitters. Reading charts is essential!

Skills required: Attaching edging, garter tab cast on, basic lace stitches - yo, 2tog, ssk, 3tog, tfb, double yo (knitted as k1,p1 on wrong side row). Blocking the shawl.

The reverse rows are purled with the exception of edge stitches.
