This is a drop stitch scarf or shawl that features 2 kinds of drop stitches creating vertical and horizontal grids. Thin yarn and big needles create light, lacy, almost floaty fabric, while heavier yarn gives more substantial, sturdier results. The drape has been excellent regardless of yarn weight.

The lightweight scarf pictured used 62 grams (about 295 yards) of Trekking XXL sock weight yarn.
Blocked, it measures 7.5 inches wide by 75 inches long. Unblocked, it measured about 7 inches wide by 65 inches long

The green shawl pictured used 3.5 balls (at 98 yards each) of Di’Ve Autumnal, a chunky/bulky weight yarn. It doesn’t need blocking.
Unblocked, it measures 16 inches wide by 68 inches long.

The pattern includes written directions and a chart.
