These socks were inspired by the slouchy socks of the ‘80’s. Further inspiration came from a friend, a Party Girl who likes to dress up and finish her look with the correct accessories. Every hair in place, everything matching, and one little wild accessory. And off she goes to party, walk on the beach and back to the party, on her feet all evening.

The heel shaping is done in garter stitch to give a little extra cushioning for the heel bone during a long night of dancing. The “slouch” of the lace is interspersed with ribbing to keep the sock in place with the correct amount of blousing. The heel is worked in ribbing for a nice snug fit, as is the top of the foot.

The socks are worked from the top down. They are knit in a tight gauge to give long wear.
