This is an easy to knit hat with multiple rounds of stockinette and rounds of texture created by passing yarn-overs across 2 knit stitches.

The sample hat measures 9” from top to bottom, and 14” around the bottom band (unstretched). There is enough stretch to fit a teen or small adult.

NOTE: The sample hat was knit for the Hats for Sailors Project which requires a 100% superwash wool. If you knit this hat using a heavier worsted, consider using US 08 for the body of the hat.
