Passap fairisle
Passaps can make a unique double bed fairisle fabric that is excellent for keyhole scarves because it does not roll, the edges look nice, and when pushers are placed out of work, the slit can be knitted easily. For this project, we explore single motifs with added embellishments rather than all-over fairisle but you can substitute any fairisle design you like that works with the stitch.
YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE:
Any double bed Passap can make this design with Tamm Astracryl 3-ply yarn. One cone of
main color will make at least two scarves. 4 oz. of contrast color are sufficient. A color changer is a big help but not essential. The gauge is 7.5 stitches/15.4 rows per inch in the one color pattern at about stitch size 4.5/4 .
