slipped-stitch heel. You can work these socks on double-pointed or circular needles.

The design of these socks evokes the structure of feathers,
with sleek vanes and prominent quills coming together in
the classic interlocking arrangement. Twisted-stitch ribbing
alternates with stockinette to create a three-dimensional
design, and two different methods of decreasing taper the
feathers.
