Fingerless mitts with a smart twisted edging to the cuffs and a textured diamond pattern on the backs of the hands. The mitts have a gusseted thumb and are worked from cuff to fingers, mainly in the round.

Other DK / light worsted weight yarns should also work well, especially those with more than 50% wool content to provide elasticity. To achieve a dense fabric, a smaller size of needle is used than recommended on the ball band.

Note on needles: Both a set of needles for your preferred method of working in the round and a pair of straight needles (or two dpns) are required. The straight needles are used for the twisted cuff, for which photo directions are included.

Other notions: Tapestry needle, 5 stitch markers, Row counter, Smooth waste yarn

The diamond pattern is given in a chart and as written directions.
