I designed this scarf for my good friend Sally.
We saw a cute infinity scarf with a lace panel and decided it was the perfect combination of cosy and pretty.
She picked a gorgeous yarn, Rose Quartz Stellar from Bendigo Woollen Mills, and off I went to make something just for her.
I chose a lovely textured but still lacy stitch pattern and tweaked it a bit to make the puff stitch petals stand out more.
As I crocheted the lacy part I thought it would also make a lovely cowl on it’s own, so after finishing the infinity I made a cowl version that buttons up.
I’ve also added a matching ear warmer for extra cosiness! Enjoy.

Details
The Path of Petals Set contains 3 options.

  • an Infinity Scarf with a lace and solid panel that you can double up with the lace section on the outside to look pretty and the solid section on the inside to keep you warm.
  • a Cowl for a lacy delicate way to keep the chill off your neck in Spring and Autumn.
  • an Ear Warmer to match your lovely scarf.

Worked flat in turned rows to you can make the scarf as long as you like.

Skill Level: Easy - Intermediate

Stitches used: fdc, ch, sc, dc, puff stitch.

Yarn: any - multiples provided so you can use any weight yarn.
I used Bendigo Woollen Mills Stellar in Rose Quartz for the infinity scarf and Bendigo Woollen Mills Athena (discontinued) in Mint.
Both these yarns are a DK weight yarn.
The Infinity Scarf is designed to use a whole ball of Bendigo Woollen Mills Stellar and the Cowl uses approximately half a ball of the same yarn.
