The wind tangles your hair as you look out over the rolling fields. You walk back to the Farmer’s Cottage to snuggle up by the roaring fire, a cup of tea by your side.

Click, clack go your needles. Polwarth yarn running through your fingers. You can sense the history in this wool. The yarn calls to you, whispering that it wants to be something alluring.

The Dennis family have been custodians of this beautiful homestead and its surrounds since 1840. They settled with a flock of merino sheep from Van Diemens land. Their ancestors then developed Australia’s first breed of sheep, the Polwarth, in 1880.

Tarndwarncoort welcomes guests to visit this hidden gem in Victoria, Australia. Stay for a coffee near the Farmgate Shop, or for a night and truly immerse yourself in this wonderful property.

Tarndie. One Family. One Flock. Since 1840.

Pattern notes: patience is a winged triangular shawl. The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, and one size. You start with a gentle stocking stitch body, and then begin to add lace panels.

You will need to know how to work basic lace. If you do not know how to do this you may need to reference a knitting book or online tutorial.
The pattern is written and charted.
