Adjustable to any size and fully reversible, Patina Crescent was designed specifically for hand painted yarns and for those new to lace. With elements made to your liking, Patina Crescent is knit top down with easy lace appearing much more difficult than it really is. A picot bind off finishes the design with attractive simplicity. A breeze to knit, you may find yourself coming back to this classic design time and time again!

Knit completed top down from beginning to end the main body of the shawl is knit in garter. The elements creating the lace edge can be adjusted to make smaller or larger lace sections. Patina Crescent is a great knit for both beginning lace knitters and experienced lace knitters looking for something they can take anywhere, anytime!

This shawl was knit in one size but all elements of this shawl can be adjusted as well as by yarn and needle size. Be aware that if you make these changes, it may result in different yardage required. Instructions for adjusting the shawl are included in the pattern.

The sample was knit with Phydeaux Designs Crème DK yarn in the colorway “Patina.” This yarn & colorway is available exclusively through Phydeaux Designs and you can purchase through their website at shop.phydeauxdesigns.com. Although I used a DK weight yarn, any weight yarn can be used!
