This is a placemat done in an American flag motif. It is worked on the Knifty Knitter brand long, green knitting loom. You will need a crochet hook for binding off. You will need a yarn needle to make X stitches for the stars. The instructions also include napkin rings that require a little wooden star.

The designer did not recommend a brand of yarn, but did recommend worsted weight, and suggested one skein each of red, white, and blue.
