Tips on Tunisian Triangle Shawl:
Use a BIG hook, much bigger than you would normally use.

Stick to single level stitches, double tunisian makes this shawl skew and be uneven on the edge and just looks messy.

The bands of texture on the shawl are TPS (Tunisian purl stitch) alternated with TSS (Tunisian simple stitch) for a honeycomb effect. This was done free-form, the pattern does not give instructions for where to put these bands. I got bored doing all TSS!

I used the biggest hook I had (15mm) with worsted weight yarn and it still produced a fairly solid fabric.

I did this pattern again using Paton’s Lace doubled and the 15mm hook and I love it! One skein of Patons Lace made a shawl that blocked to 24” x 55”.

This pattern could be used to make any size triangle you want from a head scarf size to who knows how big.

I am really looking forward to seeing how these simple instructions are interpreted.

Edit on July 20/16 Information for the hook that I used:
I used the largest hook, size 19/15mm, that was available from Denise Interchangeables.
