Pavone is a top-down crescent shawl shaped with short rows. It is inspired by the iconic plumage of peacocks and is large enough as written to wear open as a small shawl and small enough to easily wrap as a scarf. It is knit in one piece from neck to edge.

The first section uses written instructions to guide you through the short rows and establish the crescent shape. The remainder of the instructions are fully charted. The pattern includes instructions to alter the size to fit your needs.
