With many apologies I did not give credit for the heart shaped paw pad to taraknitterb
It’s a delightful motif and will now be an inexpensive pattern.

This is a convertible mitten pattern. The mitten part folds back and can be buttoned to the back of the hand, exposing the texting mitt fingerlings.

Using two colors of fingering gives the mitten lots of strength and thickness because the unused color strand is carried and ‘caught’ behind the active strand every 1-3 sts.
