Who could resist a pair of socks covered in paw prints. Fun to knit and wear, the pattern is interesting to look at too; the triple yarn overs take a paw step beyond simple lace knitting without being complicated.

The socks start with a provisional cast-on, allowing a picot edged cuff to be completed without sewing.

To fit 19(21½:24)cm / 7½(8½:9½)in mid-foot circumference. Leg length 9cm / 3½in. Foot length adjustable to fit.

When choosing sizes, note that the lace pattern has a limited amount of stretch.

Approximately 240(288:339) metres / 262(315:371) yards 4 ply sock yarn is sufficient to knit socks to fit size UK 7 / US 9½ feet.
