Description: ‘Paw’sh Cloth’s paw-print motif is purr-fect for cat and dog lover’s alike. It works well as a dishcloth, with it’s kitchen-friendly garter stitch checker board pattern. However, the yarn is so soft you may just want to use it as washcloth. Either way, the handy loop will make hanging it to dry doggone easy.

Finished Measurements:
10” square before use. It will grow to about 12” when you wet it, with 1.5” loop.

Gauge:
4 sts/9 rows = 1” in garter stitch (before wetting). It’s OK if your gauge is a little tight so long as you like the feel of the fabric. Avoid loosening up though; I only had 6yds left.

Pattern Notes:

  • You can slip (as if to knit) the first stitch of every row for a smooth, finished edge.
  • The pattern is both written out, and charted. So pick whichever method you prefer.
