This comfy coat is one of those exceptions that breaks the rules! While I normally don’t advocate bulky weight yarns for plus-sized projects, sometimes we all need a quick-to-stitch project for that instant gratification fix!

The hood is detachable - the pretty buttons add a decorative note to the collar even when the hood is not attached.

Don’t be afraid of thicker yarns for outerwear. If you can’t find a bulky yarn that you love, experiment with holding multiple strands of your favorite worsted or even DK weight together and stitching them as one.

Wait until you try the coat on to finalize the pocket placement. This is one of those small details that will make your garment look its very best on you!

NOTE This photo was shot on the wrong model and looks tight on her. This is NOT the fit you will get if you follow the instructions - the coat has lots of ease so you can wear it over clothes!
