A wrap, a scarf, a light collared shawlette -- three designs, endless possibilities, all constructed by half circles in this E-Book. All three patterns are included in this download. Though the designs may look complex, they’re deceptively simple. If you can knit, purl and make a yarn over, you can make these designs.

A perfect stash-buster, the elements of these pieces, the half circle, can be constructed by small quantities of yarn. The original are made from 5.5mm/8 US straight needles with a mix of yarn weights, you can easily use your preferred needle size for different effects.

As complete visual worlds with powerful symbolic meanings across all cultures, the circle is infinitely soothing, enveloping and mystical. For me, a square will never do what a circle can so I’ve craved escape from linearity to create circular designs that feel organic and free-spirited.
These designs are not meant to be duplicated exactly. The concept is for you to make and compose your own unique encircled explorations.

• Straight needles in 5.5 mm or US 8. Varying the needle size will give different effects. Go finer at 4.4/US or smaller or larger with 6.5/US 10.5 to vary the size of your pieces.
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Long blunt-tipped pins
• Steam iron and board
