This is another take on the basic jacket. The stitch pattern requires a little more planning as the stitch repeat is much larger. However it is not a difficult pattern to knit, only 2 of every 6 rows is patterned. The introduction of a contrasting color adds interest. If you do not want stripes, try knitting the pattern in one color. The fabric is still quite lovely.
