This is a simple pattern for a pouch shaped like a peapod or green bean. It is shown with zipper but could have button or velcro closure instead. It is the perfect size for a pair of glasses, coins or sewing notions, maybe even some green beans.

Don’t worry too much about gauge, peapods come in many sizes!

You will just need a small amount about 100 yds each of 2 colors of yarn, generally green or as desired. As well as a zipper that will fit in your peapod probably about 7-9 inches but its best to measure your peapod first. You can also substitute buttons instead of bobbles if you like.

Also good for play/practice food for toddlers and could be stuffed if desired.
