These are the coordinating mitts for the Pearl Lattice Hat. Instruction include 5 sizes so you can make a pair for everyone on your list!

They, too, begin with a K2P2 rib with occassional Right Twist Accents. The body is worked using a 12 stitch, 4 row repeat pattern also using Right Twists and Left Twists to create a lattice design on the top of the hand while the rest of the hand is worked in stockinette stitch. Lattice pattern is both written and charted.

These twists can easily be worked without using a cable needle so these mitts works up quickly. A link is provided in the pattern to demonstrate this technique.

The pattern includes 5 sizes: The Baby version is a thumbless mitten, Toddler, Child, Teen, and Adult.

Gauge: 18 sts/26 r = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch on size US8 (4.5 mm) needles.

Thumb gussets are worked on opposite sides of the Pearl Lattice pattern to create Right and Left mitts. Specific instructions are included for working EACH gussets. (My pet peeves include instructions which say “reverse shaping for second ----”)

This gender neutral cable design would work well for anyone on your knitworthy list!
