I was walking on Pearl Street in Boulder, Co one rainy, spring day and I couldn’t help but notice that bright, cheery neck scarves were adorning most shoppers on Pearl Street. I ducked into a shop to look at the options of buying a scarf, just to fit in. But how could I, as a knitter, wear anything that wasn’t knitted as a scarf? I walked out of the scarf shop and went next door to the coffee shop to plan out the Pear Street Scarf. This scarf also makes a lovely shawl if it is made a little wider! Instructions are given in parenthesis for a shawl sized “Pearl Street Scarf.”
