Strings of (yarn) pearls in contrasting colors swirl around this sweet hat. You can vary the number of strings, their colors, and their placement: add just a few for fashionable accents or put them in an allover pattern for a more playful look.

The hat is worked in the round from the brim up, always with one colour only. The ‘strings of pearls’ are worked in regular intervals with six rounds in Stockinette stitch between them and the pattern is worked up to the top of the hat. You can adjust the number of strings worked in total, for example work only a few pearl rounds next to the brim and keep the remaining hat in Stockinette stitch.
