The lace border of this shawlette calls to mind ocean waves along the shore. I added “pebbles” on the beach in the form of knitted bobbles.

The body of the baktus is knitted at the same time as the lace border, going sideways, from short end to short end. Simple increases and decreases form the gentle V-shape.

The brightly colored version shown was made with half a skein each of two different colorways of Kureyon Sock yarn. The grey one uses one skein of Cascade Heritage 150.

I used #4 circulars, 24” long, but if you are a fan of knitting with straight needles, go for it!

I also used one stitch marker to remind me when to knit the lace section.

Happy knitting!
