This fun hat features a textured stitch combo of double crochet and linked double crochet. I think it looks a little bit like small pebbles, hence the name! The pattern for the adult large size is available for free on my website here, and the PDF is available for purchase. The PDF includes sizes toddler (17”), child (19”), small adult (21”) and large adult (23”). Baby sizes are not included. I’ve also filmed a few short YouTube video tutorials to accompany the pattern. These show linked double crochet, the textured dc/ldc combo stitch (pebble stitch), and the joining method I used in this particular hat to try to minimize the appearance of the seam line. These videos are all also available for free (links in the blog post above).

I used a Knitcrate exclusive yarn in my sample, but it has been tested with a variety of worsted weight yarns, and any standard worsted yarn should do just fine! you’ll also need a size H crochet hook.
