This hat is designed as a chemo cap, but can be worn by anyone. It is a combination of butterfly stitch and the addition of beads. Although it looks complicated, it is not that hard once you get the technique of adding the beads down. Beads can be inserted in any fashion. The two hats pictured, although the same yarn show two different placements of beads.

Although I used a size B crochet hook, you need to use one that can fit through the bead and be able to hook the yarn to pull it through the bead opening.

If the directions for either the butterfly stitch or the addition of beads is not clear enough in the pattern there are various examples of both on U-tube that can help
