Pelican Scarf
I am a dyer in Japan.
To check the finish of the dyed yarn, to try a new base yarn, or to try knitting something anyway I designed the best pattern.
I aimed for the pattern to be 100g, to be mainly knitted in K, and to be as simple, easy to handle, and practical as possible.
The main pattern is made with fingering(Sockweight 400m/100g) yarn and uses about 40 g.
If you have 100 g of yarn, you can knit a set of socks, making it a perfect gift.
The size can be adjusted according to your preference.
You can increase the yarn to just under half of what you have on hand, and then decrease the yarn by half using the other half.
(200 m/100 g of yarn is roughly 100 g to knit this pattern.)
The key is to add just a little extra to prevent the curved ribbing from pinching.
Try knitting with your favorite hand-dyed yarn. The little shawl is sure to be very useful.
