This cowl/capelet/poncho starts with a simple lace border.

The lace is given both as a chart and written directions.

The main body is in stockinette, with a little short row shaping to make it longer in the back. The pattern uses German short rows, which are explained in text and drawings.

The collar, in the same lace pattern, is worked separately and attached with a three needle bind-off.

Matching cuffs are included in the pattern.
