Make your house feel like home with this cleverly constructed blanket. The blanket plays a pun on the phrase “house warming”.

My baby brother (he’s only 35) and his girlfriend have just moved house to a gorgeous, wee little cottage in Dublin. Pembroke Cottages were originally built by the Earl of Pembroke for the workers on his estate. The houses were all identical when they started, but over the years, each one has grown its own personality through changes to doors, windows and cladding. This blanket is a gift for them as they start their lives together.

Each square uses mitreing to cleverly construct the houses and textures in the blanket. The squares can be knit anywhere for a great take-along project.
