Penché is a lace wine bottle covering that is perfect for gift giving. It uses little yarn, but makes a big statement. It is knitted in the round, using double pointed needles, but may be adapted to magic loop. This pattern includes written instructions and photos. There are also instructions for how to make an I-cord, and how to use the wrap and turn technique. Much of this pattern is based on the feather and fan or old shale stitch, but the scalloped lace edge was designed by Judy Gibson.
