Penny Penguin is the perfect gift for any child. It is even sized to fit a rattle insert in the body. When stuffed with polyester fibrefill, it is very light for small hands.

This piece is worked in 8 pieces: head, body, beak, tail, 2 wings, 2 feet and it is crocheted in a continuous spiral. Do not join rounds. A stitch marker, such as a piece of contrasting yarn placed at either the beginning or the end of the round can help keep track of round in the spiral. The round stitch count (number of stitches in the round) is given in brackets at the end of most rounds.. Stuff as you go (polyester filling, cotton, yarn scraps, etc.). Finish the piece by sewing together the parts.
