The same pattern can work for smaller, felted coasters or larger, not-felted depending on the yarn you use. A simple design, knit around with decreases creating the five sided shape, you can felt it to be straight-edged or round, and you can bring out the design by picking a variegated yarn. Use different 10-15 yard scraps to make a set of mismatched wooly coasters.
